About the Recording Station:

  • 10’ x 14’ sound-baffled room fits 4 people max
  • Bookable for up to 3 hours a day, 6 hours a week, with no more than 4 bookings in the system at one time
  • Must be 13 years of age or older (or in high school). Those under 13 or not yet in high school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Chroma green, black, and white backdrops available in the room
  • Windows 10 PC with both basic and professional audio and video production software. See below for a full list of videography and audio recording equipment and software
  • Microphone kits, camcorders, tripods, and lighting available to borrow (you will need to bring your on SDHC or SDXC memory card – we recommend Class 10, 32GB+)

    NOTE: While the recording booth has sound proofing, it is not 100% sound proof. Therefore, there are some instruments (drums, brass instruments, guitar amplifiers) that cannot be accommodated. However, we offer virtual instruments via software to include in your recording).  

Using the Recording Station

Step 1: Make a Booking

  • Check the station availability calendar
  • Fill out a Booking Request form – give us a 1st choice date, and a backup just in case
  • Request the equipment you want to borrow on the booking request form
  • We’ll get back to you within 24 hours. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until you hear back from us!

Step 2: Arriving for your Booking

Plan to arrive approximately 15 minutes before your booking if you need any additional equipment (cameras, microphones, lights, etc.) Check in with the 3rd floor desk. You’ll need to present identification, which you’ll get back when you check out from your booking.
