July 30, 2025

2:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Join us to learn the basics of using the library's Janome 2030 QDC-B and DC-G sewing machines. In this beginner-friendly class we will practice sewing straight seams and learn some basic sewing skills. Drawstring bags are useful in lots of different ways, so they are a great way to create something that will show off your sewing skills every time you use it!

Registration is required and supplies will be provided. All participants must be 13 years of age to use a sewing machine on their own. If you want to bring your own supplies, they will need to be approved by staff.

Please note: The library sewing machines can be operated without the use of a foot pedal by using the stop/start button instead.

We have Janome 230 QDC-B sewing machines and DC-G sewing machines. More information about these machines, along with the library's sewing machine safety policy, can be found here.
