All-ages sewing: Drawstring gift bags

This sewing class is for all ages: adults are welcome to attend on their own or bring younger people along with them to sew together.

Learn to sew a re-useable drawstring gift bag using NVCL's sewing machines. Drawstring bags make wrapping unusual-sized gifts as easy as 1-2-3 and you can use them again and again.

This project is good for beginners or experienced sewists who want to practice their skills: we'll learn to attach a basic lining and sewing around square corners.

Registration is required and supplies will be provided. All participants must be 13 years of age to use a sewing machine on their own. If you want to bring your own supplies, they will need to be approved by staff.

Please note: The library sewing machines can be operated without the use of a foot pedal by using the stop/start button instead.
