Loan periods and holds
NVCL does not charge fines on overdue materials. However, please note that we charge the replacement cost for lost items and long-overdue (6 weeks) items assumed to be lost.
There is no fee to place holds on titles in our catalogue. There is a $1 fee for holds that are not picked up and checked out.
Families with children are welcome to join this special five-week storytime series that incorporates words and simple phrases in Canadian Sign Language. This program is co-led by library staff and CSL educator, Salsi'miya Janine Gonzales. Gonzales has a hearing impairment and is an experienced teacher of Canadian Sign Language. You'll learn finger spelling, everyday words and helpful phrases for communication between yourself and your children.
Registration is not required. If you would like to add the series to your calendar, click on the Calendar button below and select the platform you use to download a calendar event.
