Unattended children policy

For the safety of younger children, we ask that children under ten years of age be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Children ten years of age and older are welcome to visit the library on their own. However, parents should be aware that staff are not able to watch the children.

If you are looking for a safe place to leave your child for several hours and need information about activities and daycare programs, please speak to the person at the information desk.

The library is a public place for the enjoyment of all. We ask that you remind your children to be considerate of others by using quiet voices and walking – not running – inside the building.
