The Litsy app invites you to "share and discover your favourite books".

cloud library

Cloud Library gives North Vancouver City residents access to downloadable ebooks and audiobooks through the easy-to-use Cloud Library app. When you check out a book from Cloud Library, your progress in that book is automatically bookmarked and synced across all your devices. Audiobooks can be downloaded for offline listening on iOS and Android apps.

Our Cloud Library collection is growing! If there’s an ebook or audiobook you’d like us to add, you can request it here. NVCL has partnered with the Greater Victoria, Coquitlam, and Fraser Valley Regional  Libraries to link our Cloud Library collections together, giving you access to even more ebooks and audiobooks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an account specifically for Cloud Library?

If you are a resident of the City of North Vancouver with an NVCL card starting with 23287, you already have a Cloud Library account! Just download the Cloud Library app, and sign in with your library card number and PIN (usually the last four digits of your phone number).

Do I need to install a separate app for the audiobooks?

No. Cloud Library uses one app for everything.

Can I use my Kobo with Cloud Library?

Yes! Just open the Cloud Library app on a desktop or laptop computer and go to ‘My books’. Plug your Kobo into your computer, and tap ‘connect to computer’. A ‘transfer to device’ bar appears over each book in your collection. Just click that transfer button and the book is transferred to your Kobo.

What do I do if I am not a resident of the City of North Vancouver?

Publishers require that users access ebook and audiobook services from a library in the municipality in which they live. If you live in Richmond, you will therefore need to have a Richmond Public Library card. North Shore residents who don't live in the City should contact either the North Vancouver District or West Vancouver Memorial libraries. If you don't live on the North Shore, contact a library in your municipality.

Can I get help learning to set up and use Cloud Library?

Yes! You can book a private appointment with a member of our TechConnect team by filling out an appointment request form. You can also check the Cloud Library support page for information about installing the app, error messages, requesting, borrowing or returning titles and reading ebooks.
