Borrow and renew

Log in to My NVCL

Access your account for checkouts, holds, fines and to view "My Lists".

Library card

All library materials may be borrowed with a library card, except reference materials and home services audiobooks. Registration for a library card is free for City of North Vancouver, BC OneCard users and InterLink communities. Get a library card.

Borrow

Loan periods are 4 weeks for most materials, and 2 weeks for high-demand items such as DVDs and video games. Read about borrowing limits.

Return and renew

Return materials through the automated book drop. Renew materials by logging into our catalogue using your library code and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number).

Loan periods and holds

NVCL does not charge fines on overdue materials. However, please note that we charge the replacement cost for lost items and long-overdue (6 weeks) items assumed to be lost.

There is no fee to place holds on titles in our catalogue. There is a $1 fee for holds that are not picked up and checked out.

3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Tweens (those in grades 5 to 7) are welcome to join us for an afternoon movie matinée at the library. We'll have some freshly popped popcorn available, along with drink refreshments, and will watch the live-action version of Lilo & Stitch (2025, rated PG). Bring up to three friends with you as guests when registering!

Registration is encouraged as this will be a popular program. However, drop-ins will be welcomed the day-of as space becomes available.
