Celebrate spring by creating flower decorations to brighten up your space! Using North Van City Library’s Cricut and sewing machines, we will cut out custom flower shapes and sew them into garlands. Use your garland to decorate your room, your locker, your bike… anywhere you could use a little spring flare!
This class is open to teens age 13 – 16. Note: teens attending the class must be 13 or older to use the sewing machines without an adult. This is a teens-only class!
In this class, we will be learning to use two tools: the Cricut Maker, including the Cricut Design Space app, and Janome 2030 QDC B and DC G sewing machines. You can find more information about these tools at the links above.
Materials will be provided. If you would like to bring your own materials, they will require approval from the instructors.
Our time together on the 18th will focus on learning to use the tools; there will be additional workshop time available to finish your project the following Wednesday. You must attend the introduction on the 18th.
Accessibility: North Vancouver City Library’s sewing machines can be operated without a foot pedal – each machine can be operated with hands using the start/stop button.
