Want to be a filmmaker? Interested in learning to use professional cameras and editing software? Make an original short film in five days! Experienced facilitators will guide you through the entire process, from scripting to shooting to post-production.
This is a five-day workshop for youth in grades 7 to 12 and runs March 23-27. Register just one time for the March 23 session and this will confirm your attendance for all five days.
This camp is presented in collaboration with The Cinematheque, a charitable cultural organization that has offered film and media education programs for more than 20 years. From engaging digital literacy workshops to unique filmmaking programs, The Cinematheque aims to foster a passion for film and a critical understanding of visual media.
These workshops are fully funded by the City of North Vancouver through donations made by productions and commercials filmed in the City.
Schedule:
- March 23: Concept development & camera workshop
- March 24: Production schedule & lighting workshop
- March 25: Filming
- March 26: Filming, editing workshop
- March 27: Final edits, screening
