The digital library's doors are always open. Here you can find and access ebooks, magazines, newspapers, find resource guides, learn a language or a new skill — all from your own living room.
Access your account for checkouts, holds, fines and to view "My Lists".
Library card
All library materials may be borrowed with a library card, except reference materials and home services audiobooks. Registration for a library card is free for City of North Vancouver, BC OneCard users and InterLink communities. Get a library card.
Borrow
Loan periods are 4 weeks for most materials, and 2 weeks for high-demand items such as DVDs and video games. Read about borrowing limits.
Return and renew
Return materials through the automated book drop. Renew materials by logging into our catalogue using your library code and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number).
Loan periods and holds
NVCL does not charge fines on overdue materials. However, please note that we charge the replacement cost for lost items and long-overdue (6 weeks) items assumed to be lost.
There is no fee to place holds on titles in our catalogue. There is a $1 fee for holds that are not picked up and checked out.
Join us for an overview of how to record video in the library's recording station (there is a separate tour for audio). We will show you how to set up the room and get started with the camcorder and other equipment, and provide an overview of the video editing software. We will also show you how to book the room.
All registrants must have a valid library card. Registration is recommended, but dropping in will be possible if space permits.
Due to the space limitations of the Recording Station, we can admit only three patrons in each session. We also have video production handouts and tutorials (via LinkedIn Learning).
