In recognition of Inuit Day on Nov. 7, join us for a screening of two Inuit-focused documentaries. It is important to recognize and celebrate Inuit culture and knowledge as a distinct Indigenous group of Canada.

About the films:

Holly Andersen, director of Hebron Relocation 2023 (15m), explores what makes a place a home as she learns more about her community's connection to generations of displaced northern Labrador Inuit.

Miss Campbell: Inuk Teacher 2023 (15m), directed by Heather Campbell, is part oral history, part visual poem story of Evelyn Campbell. A trailblazer for an Inuit-led educational system in the small community of Rigolet, Labrador.

These films will be shown in English with subtitles.

Registration is recommended, but drop-ins may be allowed if space permits.
