Join us for a special performance led by Shahin Pourghiasian featuring Yaarsaan music (Kurdish Maqaam on Tabur). 

In the Western regions of Iran and the Kurdish areas, especially in the Kermanshah region, a community known as "Yaarsaan" lives who have a profound and unique emotional connection to music. Yaarsaan music features diverse melodies in different modes, each narating epic tales, ancient myths and stories of love and mysticism. The Tanbur, one of the oldest stringed instruments, with a history of five to six thousand years, has been the vice of Yaarsaan music. In the performance, the Tanbur will be introduced, and some of its pieces( Maqaam) will be performed.
