Join us for an afternoon of crafts to celebrate International Dot Day. This drop-in program is for all ages; we hope that everyone will use their creativity to make something big from something small. We will start by reading aloud the book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds, after which everyone can work on their artwork using a variety of craft supplies.

International Dot Day is celebrated every year on Sept. 15 all over the world in schools and libraries, and was inspired by The Dot. In the book, Vashti’s teacher tells her to “just make a mark, and see where it takes you.” Relatable for anyone who has ever said they can’t draw, the book focuses on themes of bravery, creativity and self-expression.
