Interested in becoming a City Library trustee?

The City of North Vancouver is currently recruiting for new members of the Library Board of Trustees. This drop-in info night is a chance for potential trustees to ask questions and meet the board members and City Library's Chief Librarian.

About the Board

The Library Board is accountable for setting the strategic direction and policy framework for the library, ensuring financial oversight and organizational accountability. The primary responsibilities of the Board include establishing strategic priorities, developing policies, providing financial stewardship, and hiring the Chief Librarian to lead day-to-day operations. Members of the Library Board, called trustees, serve two-year terms, to a maximum of four terms.

The Board aims to be inclusive and to reflect the community served by the library. We welcome interest from individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous individuals, all identities, and persons with disabilities.
