Borrow and renew

Log in to My NVCL

Access your account for checkouts, holds, fines and to view "My Lists".

Library card

All library materials may be borrowed with a library card, except reference materials and home services audiobooks. Registration for a library card is free for City of North Vancouver, BC OneCard users and InterLink communities. Get a library card.

Borrow

Loan periods are 4 weeks for most materials, and 2 weeks for high-demand items such as DVDs and video games. Read about borrowing limits.

Return and renew

Return materials through the automated book drop. Renew materials by logging into our catalogue using your library code and PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number).

Loan periods and holds

NVCL does not charge fines on overdue materials. However, please note that we charge the replacement cost for lost items and long-overdue (6 weeks) items assumed to be lost.

There is no fee to place holds on titles in our catalogue. There is a $1 fee for holds that are not picked up and checked out.

Join us for an interactive, hands-on session on emergency preparedness.

Through guided conversation with a North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) volunteer, participants will begin building their own emergency plan – identifying key contacts, emergency supplies, and next steps. Everyone will leave informed and with a plan to help keep themselves and their loved ones safe when it matters most.
