Event overview

November 19, 2025

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

In our next Issues that Matter program, join us for an in-depth discussion of the evolving relationship between books and artificial intelligence.

Author J.B. MacKinnon will chat with Erin MacNair from the North Shore Writers Association about topics such as the use of copyrighted materials to train Large Language Models (LLMs), AI’s impact on the future of creative writing, and if there’s a way for it to be used ethically. There will also be an opportunity for audience Q&A.

Registration is recommended, but drop-ins will be allowed if space permits.
