Are you a childcare provider, or early childhood educator, curious about selecting inclusive and diverse stories for your circletime programs, but are not sure where to start? The library is continuing our Circletime Success workshop series with this special workshop for caretakers of young children between the ages of 0 to 5. In the workshop, we will review how the topics of inclusivity and diversity are explored in today's storytelling, and develop our skills for assessing and selecting the right kinds of songs, rhymes and books that celebrate all the amazing children (and their families) in your care. We'll create a felt story to support your learning and provide a take-home book for your personal library.
All supplies are provided for participants by the library, along with a digitally sent workshop completion certificate at the end. Light refreshments will be served.
If you have questions, please reach out to the library at info@nvcl.ca or call 604-998-3540
