Up to $500 available for community projects and initiatives

City Library Small Grants are returning for 2021 with up to $500 available per project.

Established in 2016, the small grants program disperses funds to City of North Vancouver residents to help seed their community-led projects, events and initiatives. The program aims to promote skill sharing and cross-cultural connection among the city’s residents while utilizing library resources.

“Connecting with our neighbours has never been more important,” Shideh Taleban, librarian and grant coordinator said. “This year we are challenging applicants to submit ideas that will enrich our lives and foster a sense of discovery and belonging, despite pandemic restrictions.”

This year, grantees are advised that any program or event they wish to establish must have strict COVID-19 safety protocols in place. The library is still only hosting programs virtually.

Interested applicants can submit their idea and apply for grant money online by Tuesday, April 6.
