Event overview

April 13, 2024

2:15 pm to 3:15 pm

2023 marked the second-straight year that a novel by acclaimed author Sarah Suk appeared on the CBC’s year-end list of Best Books for Kids and Teens, first with Made in Korea and then with The Space Between Here & Now. In this all-ages event, Suk will chat with fellow YA author Sabina Khan about her latest novel and her career as a YA author.

Sarah Suk (pronounced like soup with a K) lives in Vancouver, Canada, where she writes stories and admires mountains. She is the author of young adult novels Made in Korea and The Space between Here & Now, as well as the co-writer of John Cho’s middle grade novel Troublemaker. When she’s not writing, you can find her hanging out by the water, taking film photos, or eating a bowl of bingsu.

Sabina Khan is the acclaimed author of What A Desi Girl Wants, Meet Me In Mumbai, Zara Hossain Is Here and The Love And Lies Of Rukhsana Ali. She has lived in Germany, Bangladesh, Macao, Illinois and Texas before finally settling down in Vancouver, BC. When she’s not writing, you can find her playing with her adorable puppy, picking new songs for Karaoke or sitting in a coffee shop dreaming up new stories and characters.
