The North Vancouver City Library is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our community and staff members is our highest priority. We are following the advice and recommendations from the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, and our local health authority, Vancouver Coastal Health.

In addition to the regular thorough cleaning we perform every night, we are also receiving regular extra cleaning during the day. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the Library. We have posted information provided by Health Canada and other health authorities in visible spaces throughout the library, and on our website at nvcl.ca/covid19.

The library is also taking steps to assess and reduce risks at all of our programming, events and gatherings.

We are encouraging all staff and visitors to the library to be mindful of preventive practices to protect themselves and our community: wash hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds; avoid touching your face; cover your mouth and nose if you sneeze or cough; practice social distancing; and stay home and self-isolate if you are ill.

Our digital services remain a great way to access library materials. Individuals can access tens of thousands of ebooks, eaudiobooks, online magazines and newspapers, and web-based learning resources on the library website at www.nvcl.ca
