Donor Recognition

The North Vancouver City Library’s donor recognition program aims to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of our many donors and supporters.

All donations of $25 or more receive a charitable tax receipt, letter of thanks and recognition in the Annual Report and on the Library website.

Donors may elect to remain anonymous and may decline private or public recognition.

Gratitude Wall

Donations of $100 or more are displayed on the Gratitude Wall. The wall is located in the library lobby, next to the entrance. It is updated annually.

The Gratitude Wall includes a special panel for gifts in memory of someone who has passed away. Estate gifts may be acknowledged as “The Estate of …” In Memoriam gifts may be acknowledged as “In Memory of …”

  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall for one year
$500 - $999 Contributor
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall for two years
$1,000 – $2,499 Supporter
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall for three years
$2,500 – $4,999 Sustainer
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall for four years
$5,000 – $9,999 Benefactor
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall for five years
  • Acknowledgement in Library newsletter
$10,000 – $24,999 Champion
  • Plaque suitable for display in home or office
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall on prominent red square for seven years
  • Cheque presentation ceremony with media coverage
$25,000 – $49,999
  • Plaque suitable for display in home or office
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall on prominent red square for ten years
  • Cheque presentation ceremony with media coverage
$50,000 +
  • Plaque suitable for display in home or office
  • Name displayed on Gratitude Wall on prominent red square for ten years
  • Cheque presentation ceremony with media coverage
  • Other recognition opportunities such as naming/signage as negotiated

Special Campaigns

Donors to specific campaigns may be recognized in signage or other forms specific to the campaign.

Major Gifts

Additional recognition opportunities may be negotiated for major gifts, provided recognition is consistent with Library policy.
