A boy creates a stop motion movie with a Hue Animation Kit. The boy sits at a desk, with the desktop screen in the background showing the Hue animation software - a split screen for showing the last shot and new positioning of the character. The boy adjusts one of his props. A blue Hue animation camera - a small webcam with a flexible neck that can be positioned anyway - sits on the desk capturing the image.

Calling all aspiring filmmakers! Are you interested in learning how to make movies, or do stop motion animation? Join us for this introductory workshop. Participants will work in groups to:

  • Create a script and storyboard;
  • Create a set and do character planning;
  • Film a stop motion movie with HUE animation cameras and software;
  • Edit your movie to create a final production.

Please note: You must be able to attend all sessions to participate. This program is for students in grades 4 – 8 and takes place over nine Tuesdays, from Feb. 20 to April 30 (no sessions on March 19 or 26 due to spring break).

Only register once for this program. When you register, you will be registered for all sessions.

In order to provide access to as many children as possible, priority will be given to registrants who have not taken this program before.
