The North Vancouver City Library is governed by a number of individuals who are appointed by the City of North Vancouver to positions on the Library's board of trustees. Members of the library board serve two-year terms, to a maximum of four terms, concluding December 31st of each year. Crucial policy decisions are referred to this board on a regular basis, and they guide the strategic direction of all Library planning and operations. The board represents the citizens' interest, and also advocates on behalf of the Library. You can contact the board at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The board meetings are open to the public. The board generally meets on the fourth Thursday of the month, but usually not in July, August or December. Special or extraordinary meetings may be called periodically.
Meetings are generally from 6 - 8 p.m. in the board room on the second floor, though the next meeting, which is on April 27th, starts at 6:30 p.m.
