Read Along

If you have a child in grades two to five who would benefit from reading practice with a teen volunteer, Read Along might be the program for you!

This six-week virtual program is hosted on Zoom. Participants require access to a laptop or tablet during the program time. Participants will share their audio and video to communicate with their teen reading buddy, while reading an ebook together from the online Tumblebook library. This program takes place under the supervision of Library staff.

Registrants are asked to commit to attending all six sessions from Jan. 21 – Feb. 25. Registration is first-come, first-served. There are two time options on each date: Session A, 4 – 4:30 p.m. or Session B, 4:45 – 5:15 p.m. Please do not register for both sessions. You may sign up for the waiting list for both options if they are both already full. Make sure to register for this program using the email you wish to receive the Zoom link to.

Please contact the Children's department with any questions at 604-998-3480.
