Indigenous collection

The Indigenous collection was introduced in 2013. It contains an interesting medley of resources reflective of local Indigenous groups and peoples and offers a wealth of information for those interested in learning about the history, beliefs, arts, practices, languages, and perspectives of aboriginal groups of British Columbia and of those from the Lower Mainland in particular. We have also included some titles that reflect the Indigenous experience in Canada and North America.

Our Indigenous collection can be found on the 3rd floor of the library, in row 1, near the elevators.

You can also view the entire collection in the catalogue. (This collection is nonfiction. We have also created this list of fiction by Indigenous authors.)

We welcome your collection suggestions! Please use this form to suggest new items for the collection!
